Cousins and Crosby sit out Raiders training camp sessions
Summary

Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby missed team sessions during the Raiders' training camp on August 6, 2026, due to an incident on Friday. Their absence allowed quarterback Fernando Mendoza to take first-team reps, during which he performed well, throwing three touchdowns and completing five passes in the two-minute drill. Other players, such as Quay Walker and Malik Benson, also stood out in practice, while the offensive line showed improvement in the run game. The ongoing competition for the starting quarterback role intensifies as Mendoza demonstrates potential leadership.
