Cowboys waive edge rusher Charles Snowden over suspension and injury

The Dallas Cowboys have waived edge rusher Charles Snowden, who was facing a three-game suspension related to a DUI charge. Snowden, who signed a one-year deal with the team in June, was also dealing with a groin injury. Though he was expected to participate in preseason activities, his suspension would have begun with the roster reduction to 53 players. The Cowboys are attempting to revamp their defense after a disappointing 2025 season, during which they traded All-Pro Micah Parsons. In addition to releasing Snowden, the Cowboys signed offensive lineman Sebastian Gutierrez.
