Craig Charlton has been appointed the head coach of the Incarnate Word Academy football program, as announced on June 3. This follows his retirement six months prior after an 11-season tenure with the Ray football team, where he earned a record of 40-74 and led his team to three playoff appearances. Charlton takes over from Ray Purifoy, who led IWA for just one season. The Angels are set to begin their inaugural 11-man football season on August 21, when they face John Paul II.
