Craig Reynolds, formerly of the Detroit Lions, has reportedly signed with the Washington Commanders ahead of their preseason game against the Lions on Saturday. Reynolds, an undrafted free agent in 2019, returns to the team where he began his NFL career. After five seasons with the Lions, he was waived in November 2025 and spent time with the New England Patriots. Washington is looking to bolster its running back depth as veteran Jeremy McNichols is sidelined, adding Reynolds’ experience and special teams capabilities to a competitive backfield.
