Crewe Alexandra will be without first-choice goalkeeper Ian Lawlor due to a hernia injury, having missed the recent Carabao Cup match against Accrington Stanley. Lawlor had sat on the bench during the match on Saturday but subsequently underwent surgery. Tom Booth, who started last season as Crewe's first-choice keeper, is expected to continue in goal for the upcoming League Two opener against Crawley Town.
