Crystal Palace bids €25m for defender Oumar Solet after Ordonez issue

Summary

Crystal Palace has made a €25 million bid for Udinese defender Oumar Solet following Joel Ordonez's failed medical. Ordonez was set to join Palace from Club Brugge but had issues flagged during his medical tests. This situation has prompted Palace to seek alternatives and focus on Solet, who previously received interest from several top clubs. If the offer is accepted, negotiations for personal terms are expected to move swiftly. Oumar Solet, 26, joined Udinese as a free agent in January 2025.
