Crystal Palace completes four deadline day signings

Crystal Palace added four players on the final day of the summer transfer window. Defenders Honest Ahanor and Ben Chilwell joined the squad alongside midfielders Quinten Timber and Darío Osorio. Ahanor signed a permanent deal with Chelsea but remains at Palace on loan for the current season, while Chilwell returned to the club on a free transfer from Strasbourg. The club also secured Osorio on a loan deal with an obligation to purchase. These additions followed a failed pursuit of winger Malick Fofana, who ultimately opted to sign with Sunderland after extended negotiations. Palace also oversaw the permanent departure of two academy players to Championship clubs to close their summer business.
