Crystal Palace open transfer talks with Strasbourg for defender Ben Chilwell
Summary

Crystal Palace have initiated discussions with RC Strasbourg regarding the potential signing of Ben Chilwell before the summer transfer window closes. The 29-year-old former England international moved to the Ligue 1 club from Chelsea last season and has since recorded 29 appearances. Palace are seeking to bolster their defensive options for the remainder of the season and consider Chilwell a primary target. Having previously spent time on loan at the Croydon club during his tenure at Chelsea, Chilwell is already familiar with the team environment. While negotiations are underway, the clubs have yet to reach a final agreement on the transfer. The parties face a limited timeframe to complete the move as the deadline approaches.
