Cubs add Clay Holmes to projected starting rotation

The Chicago Cubs have acquired Clay Holmes from the New York Mets. Holmes has been recovering from a fractured right fibula, which sidelined him for two months. The two-time All-Star right-hander has a 2.39 ERA this season but was injured in May while playing against the New York Yankees. As the Cubs revamp their rotation following the Kevin Gausman deal, Holmes is expected to bolster their starting lineup. The new rotation is projected to include Kevin Gausman, Matthew Boyd, Clay Holmes, Shota Imanaga, and Edward Cabrera.
