Cubs visit Pirates for key weekend series at PNC Park

The Chicago Cubs face off against the Pittsburgh Pirates this weekend at PNC Park, starting Friday. Both teams are contending for a position in the National League wild card race. The Pirates, currently 53-50 and half a game behind Arizona, are looking to bounce back after a series loss to the Yankees. Chicago, holding the top wild card spot, aims to extend its lead after taking two of three from the Pirates earlier this season. The weekend series could significantly impact both teams' playoff aspirations as the trade deadline approaches.
