Curaçao defeats Nevada in Little League World Series title game

The Paseo Verde All-Star team from Henderson, Nevada, finished as the runner-up in the Little League World Series after an 11-2 loss to Curaçao on Sunday in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Nevada remained competitive early in the contest, trailing 4-2 in the fifth inning before their opponents scored four runs to extend the lead. Nevada coach Cory Edwards noted missed signs and defensive errors contributed to the final outcome. Despite the loss, the program reached the championship game for the first time since their 2024 appearance. This result marks the second consecutive year a team from Nevada has played in the final round of the tournament. The players and coaching staff will return to Henderson to resume local league activities.

"After coaching the Paseo Verde All-Star team from Henderson, Nevada, to a runner-up finish in the Little League World Series on Sunday, Edwards will be back on the diamond, coaching his 10-year-old club team. “You have to wake up early, you have to get to the field, you have to put the reps in,” Edwards said after Nevada’s 11-2 loss to Curaçao on Sunday. Nevada’s work got them to the championship game, with plenty of notable achievements along the way.
