Swinney told reporters that while Kiffin reached out following the incident, the decision to report the school was made independently of any outside influence. The allegation surfaced in a January news conference shortly after communication between the NCAA and Ole Miss regarding the situation had already begun. Kiffin, who served as head coach at Ole Miss before moving to LSU, remains a central figure in discussions surrounding the recruitment process during the 2025 season. Clemson and LSU are scheduled to play this Saturday.
