Dabo Swinney faces criticism following Clemson loss to LSU

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney addressed the media Tuesday following his team’s loss to LSU. During the press conference, Swinney responded to questions from Chapel Fowler regarding offseason roster construction. Swinney defended his team's personnel choices and declined to evaluate the season after one game. Clemson recorded 145 total yards and struggled with third-down efficiency in the defeat. Quarterback Christopher Vizzina, making his first start, threw a pick-six during the opening half of the game. The team surrendered 644 total yards to the LSU offense, including 335 yards on the ground. Swinney previously made significant staff changes, including the re-hiring of offensive coordinator Chad Morris, who had not called plays since 2020.
