Dabo Swinney reports no NCAA response to Clemson tampering allegations

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney stated Tuesday that he has received no communication from the NCAA regarding tampering allegations he filed against Ole Miss coach Pete Golding. Swinney claimed in January that Golding initiated contact with linebacker Luke Ferrelli while the player was enrolled at Clemson. Ferrelli, a former California player, had committed to Clemson in January before reentering the transfer portal and eventually committing to Ole Miss. While the NCAA indicated in January that it would investigate credible tampering claims, Swinney noted on Tuesday that the matter remains unresolved. Golding previously addressed the situation in April, describing the recruitment as a standard process that occurred after a roster opening became available at Ole Miss. Swinney emphasized that he is currently focused on Clemson's upcoming season opener against LSU rather than pursuing the past grievance.
