Daejon Love faces fraud charges for posing as San Francisco 49ers player

Authorities arrested Daejon Love on charges of fraud after he allegedly impersonated a San Francisco 49ers player to solicit money and services. Prosecutors state that Love and 18-year-old Taylor Chan operated a scam across four states, targeting more than 24 women through dating applications. The suspect reportedly used images of himself wearing team apparel and forged banking documents to claim he was a wealthy real estate investor with a $30 million net worth. Reports indicate the operation resulted in approximately $1.3 million in stolen funds. Love is currently held in an Ada County federal jail as he awaits transport to Oregon for court proceedings. Each criminal charge carries a potential sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
