Dak Prescott positioned as MVP candidate for Cowboys in 2026

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has been identified as a top-10 MVP candidate for the upcoming NFL season. ESPN's Seth Walder notes Prescott’s strong performance in 2025, where he was considered among the league’s best, despite the team finishing 7-9-1 largely due to defensive struggles. As head coach Brian Schottenheimer oversees the offense, questions remain about the Cowboys’ capability to replicate last season's success and if Prescott can maintain his health. The team is expected to improve defensively, which could alleviate pressure on Prescott and the offense moving forward.
