Dak Prescott receives national PFWA Good Guy award before season opener

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott received the Pro Football Writers of America Good Guy award on September 2. The annual honor recognizes NFL players for their professional approach and cooperation with the media. Although Prescott was named the winner in May, he accepted the physical trophy from Dallas chapter president Nick Harris just days before the Cowboys' regular-season opener. This marks the first time a Dallas player has earned the national accolade, following local chapter awards for Prescott in 2017 and 2019. Prescott previously served as a finalist for the national honor in 2024. The Cowboys are scheduled to begin their 2026 season on September 13 against the New York Giants.
