Dak Prescott's Cowboys could be a contender in 2026 NFL season

Adam Schefter expressed optimism about the Dallas Cowboys as they prepare for the 2026 NFL season. Speaking on ESPN, he pointed to a major defensive overhaul, including the hiring of Christian Parker as defensive coordinator and the return of a healthy DeMarvion Overshown. The Cowboys finished the previous season with a 7-9-1 record and missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year, despite a strong performance from Prescott, who threw for over 4,500 yards. With new key defensive acquisitions like Rashan Gary and Quinnen Williams, Schefter believes Dallas could change its fortunes by providing Prescott with better support. The Cowboys will need time to integrate their new players effectively into the system.
