The Dallas Cowboys traded offensive tackle Nate Thomas to the Houston Texans on August 30, 2026, in exchange for a 2027 seventh-round draft pick. Thomas, who competed for the starting left tackle role during training camp, saw his position on the roster change following Dallas’ acquisition of offensive tackle Broderick Jones from the Pittsburgh Steelers on Saturday. During the 2025 season, Thomas appeared in all 17 games for the Cowboys, including four starts. The Texans, seeking to address offensive line depth, added the lineman as part of their ongoing efforts to improve unit performance. This move follows the broader reconfiguration of the Dallas offensive line depth chart, which also involved sending multiple draft picks to Pittsburgh to secure Jones.
