Dallas Mavericks exercise fourth-year option on Zaccharie Risacher

The Dallas Mavericks have exercised the $17.43 million team option for forward Zaccharie Risacher for the 2027-28 season. This decision comes just four games into his tenure with the team after he was acquired in a three-team trade during the offseason. Risacher has achieved a franchise record for steals in his debut and is currently averaging 8.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and strong defensive statistics including 2.0 blocks and 2.0 steals per game. While his shooting percentage is low at 30.8 percent so far, head coach Dusty May remains supportive of his effort and impact on the game. Risacher will become a restricted free agent in the summer of 2028.
