Dallas Mavericks prioritize Cooper Flagg's development amid Kyrie Irving uncertainty

The Dallas Mavericks have identified Cooper Flagg as their cornerstone as the NBA Draft approaches. Flagg’s impressive rookie season has positioned him as a key player for the franchise moving forward. Kyrie Irving, currently recovering from an ACL injury at age 34, faces an uncertain future. His hefty contract may make him expendable, potentially allowing Dallas to pursue other players or reallocate funds for better fits. The Mavericks could explore trades to capitalize on Irving's value, with discussions hinting at significant changes to the roster ahead of next season.
