Dame Sarah Storey retires from competitive sport ahead of 2028 Games

Dame Sarah Storey has announced her retirement from competitive sport, concluding a career that included 19 Paralympic gold medals. The 48-year-old, who made her debut at the 1992 Barcelona Games, chose to step away two years before the 2028 Paralympic Games in Los Angeles. Storey expressed pride in her contributions to Para sport and believes she can make a greater impact off the bike.
