Damian Lillard displays high-volume shooting during recovery from Achilles injury

Damian Lillard is returning to training after tearing his Achilles during the 2025 NBA playoffs. During his rehabilitation, Lillard posted social media footage capturing a session where he successfully made 1,100 of 1,130 three-point attempts. Draymond Green, who played alongside Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, indicated he has not previously witnessed this level of shooting accuracy. According to Jacob Mooallem, a Portland Trail Blazers analytics coach, Lillard also completed a summer training goal of hitting 100,000 three-pointers with a conversion rate between 80 and 85 percent. While Lillard focused exclusively on his shooting mechanics while recovering from his injury, Green noted that Lillard must now work to regain his conditioning before the upcoming regular season.
