Dan Campbell emphasizes key areas for Lions ahead of 2026 season

Summary

Ahead of the 2026 NFL season, Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell highlighted the need for improvements in running the football, stopping the run, and executing in situational scenarios during training camp. During a recent practice, the first-team offense demonstrated efficiency in a situational drill, culminating in a successful 48-yard field goal. Campbell's focus on these areas is crucial given last season's mixed performance in running and stopping the run, as the Lions aim to build on a record-setting 2025 season. The Lions open their season at home against the New Orleans Saints on September 13.
