Dan Campbell expects productive season from Lions edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson

Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell confirmed on Tuesday that Aidan Hutchinson is prepared for the upcoming season. After suffering a broken leg that cut his 2024 campaign short, the edge rusher returned to record 14.5 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, and 35 quarterback hits. Hutchinson earned a second Pro Bowl selection and AP second-team All-Pro honors for his performance following the injury. Campbell cited a full offseason of training as a primary factor in Hutchinson’s continued development regarding his quickness and overall craft. The 2022 draft pick has registered 43 sacks and 100 quarterback hits throughout his 56 career games. The Lions are scheduled to open their season at home against the Saints this Sunday.
