Dan Campbell expresses desire for sideline monitors during games

After the Detroit Lions' preseason opener on August 16, head coach Dan Campbell voiced a wish for coaches to have monitors on the sidelines. He noted that unlike reporters and fans, coaches only see the action on the field without the benefit of television angles. Campbell believes access to a monitor could help coaches observe important nuances of the game. Currently, while decisions like throwing a challenge flag often rely on stadium big screens, Campbell noted that coaches don't always have the same visual perspective.
