Dan Hooker expresses willingness to fight Usman Nurmagomedov in UFC debut

Dan Hooker has identified himself as the ideal opponent to welcome Usman Nurmagomedov to the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Nurmagomedov is currently a free agent following the conclusion of his contract with the Professional Fighters League. While some fans have suggested a potential matchup between Nurmagomedov and Ilia Topuria, Hooker maintains that Topuria would be unlikely to take the risk of fighting an unranked, non-UFC competitor. Hooker noted that he has established a track record of welcoming high-profile newcomers to the promotion, including his past bout against Michael Chandler. Hooker is currently preparing for his own upcoming appearance against Salahdine Parnasse at UFC Paris on Sept. 5. He stated he is open to competing against the unbeaten Nurmagomedov if he receives appropriate financial compensation.
