Dana White identifies Hawaii as potential future destination for UFC

UFC president Dana White confirmed that Hawaii is a target for future events as the promotion looks to expand its geographic reach. While the state has produced prominent fighters such as BJ Penn and Max Holloway, the organization has never held an event there. White cited insufficient existing infrastructure as the primary reason for the absence of UFC cards in the region. Local officials are currently working on a new arena project that is expected to reach completion by 2028 or 2029. White noted that the new venue could finally provide the capacity required for the UFC to move forward with a debut event in Hawaii.
