LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - APRIL 22: Gervonta Davis in the green and purple trunks reacts after defeating Ryan Garcia in the black trunks by knockout in the seventh round during their catchweight bout at T-Mobile Arena on April 22, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Al Bello/Getty Images) | Getty Images Dana White promised that Zuffa Boxing would make the biggest and best fights possible and after signing Shakur Stevenson to a multi-fight deal, is it possible that Gervonta “Tank” Davis is a future domino that could fall in line for the promotion? On Sunday night following Zuffa Boxing 9 in New York, White was asked about potentially booking a fight between Davis and Stevenson, which would undoubtedly be one of the most monumental fights in the sport. Davis hasn’t fought since March 2025 when he went to a razor-close draw with Lamont Roach Jr. and a planned showdown against Jake Paul was cancelled due to a litany of legal issues including accusations of domestic violence, although police eventually dropped all charges against him. But White admits that he has spoken to Davis and he’s definitely interested in working together in the future. “I don’t know [about booking Tank vs. Shakur],” White said. “I do love Tank Davis. I’m actually a fan and we’ve talked to them. I don’t want to speak for him or whatever but I have talked to him and I’m a fan.” At his peak, Davis was considered one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the sport while winning titles across three different weight classes. The 31-year-old fighter hasn’t said much lately about plans to fight again any time soon but obviously it sounds like he could eventually find a home in Zuffa Boxing. White obviously wouldn’t speculate if that would happen or not but he’s maintaining his position that he’s going after the best fighters to book the biggest fights in the sport. Based on the history of both fighters, Davis vs. Stevenson could draw a lot of eyeballs but there’s no telling if it might actually happen. “You can make these fights and we can only hope,” White said. “We knew tonight’s main event was going to be good but you don’t know until it plays out. I’m looking to make all the big fights that are out there.”
