Dani Carnegie and Team USA secured the gold medal at the FIBA 3x3 U23 World Cup, defeating Canada 15-10 in the championship match on September 19 in Wuhan, China. Carnegie, currently a player for Iowa women's basketball, contributed five points and four rebounds during the final. This victory marks Team USA's second title at the U23 World Cup, following their win in 2024. The same group of players recently won the FIBA 3x3 Nations League Americas North Conference in July. Carnegie was named to the roster earlier this month, joining players from Oregon, Minnesota, and Arizona State.
