Dani Olmo questions Atletico de Madrid over failed Julian Alvarez transfer

Barcelona midfielder Dani Olmo has publicly expressed confusion regarding the failed transfer of Julian Alvarez to his club during the recent summer window. Alvarez, a forward for Atletico de Madrid, previously indicated a desire to leave the club, but the transfer did not materialize. Olmo acknowledged that while he respects the professional nature of the sport, he believes players have individual goals that were not met in this instance. Despite the unsuccessful move, Olmo remains focused on Barcelona's objectives for the 2026-27 campaign, which include defending domestic titles and competing in the Champions League. Barcelona continues to maintain a competitive squad, and reports suggest the club may retain an interest in signing the Argentina international in future transfer windows.
