Daniel Elfadli has left Hamburger SV to join Austrian club LASK on a season-long loan deal. The 29-year-old defender, who is under contract at Hamburger SV until 2028, was reportedly pursued by SV Elversberg before choosing the move to Austria. The agreement contains no purchase option for LASK. This transfer allows Elfadli to participate in the Champions League, where LASK is set to compete against opponents including Real Madrid and Liverpool. Sporting director Claus Costa stated that the loan provides Elfadli with more playing time after he lost his starting position following an injury and internal roster changes.
