Jordaan currently faces fraud and theft charges stemming from allegations that he misused approximately $70,000 in association funds for personal security and public relations services. The legal case, which also involves other association officials, has yet to proceed to trial. The lead-up to the election was marked by reports of intimidation and death threats directed at voting officials.
