Danny Rohl has left his position as Rangers manager to take over at RB Salzburg. His departure follows an underwhelming eight-month tenure in which Rangers finished third in the Premiership, failing to win any trophies and suffering four defeats in their last five matches. Despite spending on new signings including Ryan Naderi and Tochi Chukwuani, Rohl's side struggled to challenge Celtic's dominance. With Rohl's exit, Hearts head coach Derek McInnes is expected to be named as his successor as Rangers prepares for another rebuilding phase.

- 11:02 AMYahoo Sports — How will Rohl be remembered after Rangers exit?
"Last month, Danny Rohl said he was "100% convinced" he would remain as Rangers manager for the new season despite a hugely disappointing end to the previous campaign. Rohl's side went into the split just one point behind leaders Hearts, but ultimately finished third after four defeats in their final five matches of the season. Admittedly, lots of that money was spent before Rohl's arrival under previous head coach Russell Martin and sporting director Kevin Thelwell, but Ryan Naderi, Tochi Chukwuani, Tuur Rommens and Andreas Skov Olsen were all brought in under Rohl's watch.
