Danny Wuerffel ranks 14th among top college football players of the 1990s

Danny Wuerffel is ranked 14th in a list of the top 25 college football players of the 1990s by The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman. The former Florida Gators quarterback, who led the team to its first national championship and won the Heisman Trophy in 1996, is recognized for his effective play in Steve Spurrier’s offense. During his collegiate career, Wuerffel passed for 10,875 yards and 114 touchdowns, exemplifying significant achievement in the SEC. He is also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame and the namesake of the Wuerffel Trophy, awarded for community service in college football.
