Dans Locmelis returns to full health for Boston Bruins rookie camp

Dans Locmelis is participating in the Boston Bruins rookie camp at Warrior Ice Arena this week after clearing a six-month recovery period. The forward underwent shoulder surgery in March following a season where he managed 28 points in 42 games while playing through discomfort. Providence Bruins head coach Trent Whitfield confirmed that Locmelis is fully healthy and has been at 100% for the past two months. During the previous season, Locmelis represented the Latvian national team and recorded two goals in a win over Germany before concluding his club season. He now joins 16 other prospects and seven invitees at the camp to prepare for upcoming exhibition games against the Buffalo Sabres. Locmelis will move into the team's shortened training camp following the two-game prospect showcase in Buffalo.
