Darian Mensah throws five touchdowns in Miami debut win over Stanford

Transfer quarterback Darian Mensah completed 27 of 30 passes for 401 yards and five touchdowns to lead Miami to a 45-6 win over Stanford. This performance set a program record for passing yards and touchdowns by a quarterback in his debut. Receiver Malachi Toney contributed to the offense by recording 234 receiving yards and three touchdown catches, both Miami school records. Cooper Barkate, who transferred from Duke alongside Mensah, added 67 receiving yards and one touchdown. Miami coach Mario Cristobal noted Mensah's ability to read the field and execute the team's concepts. Mensah previously spent one season at Duke where he threw for 3,973 yards and 34 touchdowns.
