Darius Slay criticizes Lions defense during Panthers game

Darius Slay, former cornerback for the Detroit Lions, criticized the team's defense on X during their Sunday night matchup against the Carolina Panthers. Slay noted that despite his affection for the Lions, their defense was performing poorly, stating, "this defense is bad bad." The Lions had previously come off a better showing in their victory over the New York Jets but struggled against Carolina's offense, which found ways to advance the ball consistently. Slay, who played in Detroit for seven seasons before moving to Philadelphia in 2020, expressed sentiments familiar to Lions fans as the game progressed.
