Summary

Darren Agu, a fifth-year defensive end for New Mexico, has gained recognition for his athleticism, earning a spot on The Athletic's 'Freaks List' this summer. After facing visa issues that limited his training last year, Agu is in a stronger position to impact the Lobos' defense. He aims to improve his pass-rushing skills while taking on more responsibility as a starter. With other defensive teammates stepping up, Agu is focused on building on last season’s performance, where he recorded 15 tackles and two sacks. The Lobos are preparing for their upcoming season with a solid foundation in the defensive line.
