Darryn Peterson joins Utah Jazz following productive freshman season at Kansas

Darryn Peterson enters his rookie campaign with the Utah Jazz as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft. The 19-year-old guard comes off a standout freshman season at Kansas, where he averaged 20.2 points per game and earned second-team All-Big 12 honors. Peterson previously showcased his playmaking and scoring ability during a five-game summer league stint, averaging 23 points.
