Nunez had sought to terminate his contract but has settled on a loan arrangement, with Porto and Benfica emerging as top contenders for his signature. He will forgo part of his salary, while Al Hilal covers some wages. Barcelona had considered bringing him in as a low-cost alternative to Julian Alvarez but have not pursued the opportunity further.
