David Bailey shines in Jets' defensive effort against Browns

David Bailey delivered a standout performance for the Jets in their 17-12 victory over the Browns on October 12, 2026. The rookie edge rusher recorded three sacks, seven total tackles, three tackles for loss, and four quarterback hits, contributing significantly to a defense that sacked Deshaun Watson eight times. Head coach Aaron Glenn praised Bailey as a 'flame thrower' and noted that the Jets' defense has held three of their first five opponents to under 200 yards of total offense. This performance follows a period of scrutiny for Bailey, who had only two sacks in his first four games. The Jets, now 2-3, aim to continue improving as they face upcoming challenges.
