Davis Fisher wins Springfield Mile II as Chase Saathoff takes Singles victory

Davis Fisher secured his first American Flat Track SuperTwins win since 2021 at the Springfield Mile II held Sunday at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Fisher finished 0.009 seconds ahead of runner-up Tom Drane to close out the season. Trent Lowe placed third in the event. In the AFT Singles competition, Chase Saathoff earned a victory after a late-race crash forced a stop with the white flag waving. Saathoff, racing near his home in Hillsboro, was credited with the win over Kage Tadman. The race concluded the 2026 season for the series following the Springfield Mile I held on Saturday, where Dallas Daniels claimed the points championship. Fisher plans to carry his momentum into the 2027 season, while also preparing for the birth of his first child in January.
