Texas Tech baseball player Davis Rivers has committed to Louisiana-Monroe after three seasons with the Red Raiders. Rivers batted.295 with three home runs and 14 RBIs in 20 games during the current season. Texas Tech, coming off back-to-back losing seasons and a 27-28 overall record, faces several player departures, including infielder Linkin Garcia, who also entered the transfer portal. As the NCAA transfer portal remains open through June, the Texas Tech program seeks improvements, especially in pitching after a 7.92 team ERA this season.
