Texas A&M senior linebacker Daymion Sanford has made significant progress in preseason practices, according to coach Mike Elko. After suffering a serious fibula injury last season, Sanford has fully participated in defensive drills, demonstrating explosiveness and quick recovery from offseason surgery. Elko confirmed Sanford is on track to start in the upcoming season opener against Missouri State on September 5. Sanford, who recorded career highs last season with 57 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks, brings valuable experience to an already strong linebacker corps.
