Dayton football hangs on for win at Eastern Kentucky

Dayton football secured a close 17-14 victory against Eastern Kentucky on September 19 at Roy Kidd Stadium. After a scoreless first quarter, Dayton led 7-0 at halftime following a touchdown pass from Bryce Schondelmyer to Michael Mussari. The Flyers increased their lead to 14-0 before Eastern Kentucky narrowed the gap in the fourth quarter. With seconds remaining, Eastern Kentucky missed a potential game-tying field goal, allowing Dayton to remain unbeaten at 3-0. Dayton will enter their second bye week before starting Pioneer Football League play on October 3 against Drake.
