Daytona Tortugas secure Florida State League East Division title

The Daytona Tortugas clinched the Florida State League East Division title on August 30 following a loss by the Palm Beach Cardinals. This victory secures a playoff spot for the team for the third consecutive year and marks their fifth postseason appearance in franchise history. The Tortugas transformed their season after finishing the first half with the league’s worst record at 21-45. Since the standings reset in late June, the team recorded a 36-21 mark and led their division by 7½ games. The roster scored 395 runs during the second half, the highest output in the league. Daytona will conclude the regular season with a six-game road series against the Palm Beach Cardinals before starting the playoffs.
