Golden State Warriors guard De'Anthony Melton enters the 2026-27 season without medical restrictions following a year defined by roster instability and injury. Melton returned to the court last December after recovering from a torn ACL, subsequently shouldering expanded ball-handling responsibilities as teammates including Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Moses Moody dealt with injuries. The 28-year-old averaged a career-high 12.3 points per game across 49 appearances during the 2025-26 season. Under a new two-year, $12.4 million contract, Melton intends to handle a significant workload as the team manages the health of several veteran players. He confirmed his availability for back-to-back games, providing stability for a rotation that remains focused on addressing ongoing rehabilitation for core personnel.
