Dearica Hamby ejected in Sparks' game against Sun

Dearica Hamby of the Los Angeles Sparks was ejected during the fourth quarter of the game against the Connecticut Sun on August 22. The incident occurred when Hamby struck Raegan Beers in the head while battling for position under the basket with 8:39 remaining in regulation. Following a review, Hamby received a flagrant 2 foul, resulting in her automatic ejection. Beers, who was assessed a loose ball foul during the play, left the game due to a jaw injury and will not return. The Sparks were eliminated from playoff contention two days prior to this game.
