Deco responds to Pedri and Raphinha Ballon d’Or snubs on social media

Barcelona sporting director Deco publicly reacted to the omission of Pedri and Raphinha from the 2026 Ballon d'Or shortlist. France Football unveiled the 30-man list for the award earlier today, which included Barcelona players Lamine Yamal, Rodri, and Pau Cubarsí. Despite strong performances during the recent term, Pedri and Raphinha were excluded from the final selection. Deco posted a series of laughing emojis in the comments section of an Instagram post that listed the nominees. The exclusion of the two players drew immediate backlash among supporters of the club, prompting the official response from the Barcelona executive. The club currently remains focused on the season under Hansi Flick.
